and delivered into the hands and possession of the arlate Peter Probee and<br />
Edward Watts, and<br />
verily beleeveth hee the sayd Keene intended to have reladen them when<br />
hee had fitted and repayred his shipp and to have proceeded to the Canaries<br />
if he could have procured Mariners at Saint Lucars to have gone the sayd<br />
voyage with him for that hee this deponent heard the sayd English Consull<br />
at Saint Lucar say that the sayd Keene had hyred two dutch men and a<br />
Scotch man to goe with him on his voyage to the Canaries but that they<br />
had broke open the sayd Keenes Cabbin and solne his money and runne<br />
away from him And further to this article hee cannot depose
To the 7th and 8th article of the sayd allegation hee saith hee well<br />
knoweth that the sayd Edward Keene hearing that this deponent and<br />
the rest of the Company of the ''Anne Pinke'' of Bristoll were at Saint<br />
Lucar and had left their sayd shipp in manner aforesayd hee the sayd Keene did come<br />
to this deponent and the rest of the sayd Company andw ould have hyred<br />
them to goe for Palma arlate and offered to give them any wages fitting<br />
for the same but this deponent and the rest of the sayd shipps company<br />
redused to goe the sayd voyage and told him they would goe noe<br />
voyage but for England, and if hee the sayd Keene had any desyne<br />
to returne with his vessell for England they would willingly serve<br />
him but otherwise not whereupon the sayd Keene seeing hee could not<br />
get any mariners to proceede on his voyage to Palma did keave<br />
his lading which hee brought from England<br />
at Saint Lucar with the sayd Mr Watts and Mr Probie who<br />
seeing the sayd Keene could not get mariners who were<br />
willing to proceede on the voyage to Palma aforesayd laded the sayd<br />
Keebes vessell with other goods to be transported to London and this<br />
deponent and the rest of the Compay of the sayd Pinke ''Anne''<br />
thereupon shipped themselves with the sayd Keene and sayled his sayd shipp ''John and Elizabeth''<br />
back for London with the sayd goods soe laden by Mr Watts and Mr Probie And<br />
further to this article hee cannot depose
To the 9th saving his foregoeing deposition to which hee referreth<br />
hee cannot depose
To the 10th hee saith hee knoweth the arlate Mr Probee and Mr Watts<br />
and saith they are English Merchants and are accompted in Saint Lucar arlate<br />
to be men of good accompt and repute and further to this article saving<br />
his foregoeing deposition hee cannot depose/
