To the first hee saith, That hee this rendent is a Native of Caen in<br />
Normandie, and hath lived in London for all the time interrate, And<br />

otherwise saving his foregoeing deposition hee saith hee cannot depose:
To the 4th hee saith the interrate Richard Le Bas hath a brother residing<br />
at Caen in ffrance, And further hee saith hee doeth not know neither<br />
can hee declare./

a Wittnesse sworne and examined saith as followeth<br />
videlicet./
To the 4th article of he said Allegation hee saith and deposeth, That hee<br />
this deponent hath knowne the arlate Richard le Bas for about 9<br />
yeares last past during all or most part of which time the said Le<br />
Bas hath lived and resided here in London, and hath for about 4. or<br />
5. yeares been a Merchant acting and trading upon his owne accompt<br />
and esteemed and reputed generally a Subject of this Commonwealth<br />
and in that quality hath payd and doeth pay such dues and dueties as<br />
from him are required in the quality or notion of a Merchant here<br />
residing, This deponent having for all that time had very good and<br />
familiar acquaintance of and with the said producent, and having<br />
lived with him for some part of that time in one and the same house<br />
in the parish of Saint Leonards East-cheape-London And further<br />
