To the third, fourth, fifth and sixth arti … To the third, fourth, fifth and sixth articles he deposeth<br />
and saith that the shipp arlate was upon and according unto the bargaine of<br />
sale of her delivered by the said Governor of New Sally<br />
unto the producent, and that the producent was in quiet<br />
and peaceable possession of her (as he this deponent conceiveth<br />
he ought haveing bought and payd for her) from the<br />
month of November 1654 untill her being arrested by<br />
Alderman ffrederick, And he alsoe deposeth that the<br />
producent did (being the lawfull Owner and Proprietor<br />
of the shipp arlate) at his owne proper cost and charges<br />
buy the teckle and furniture now to her belonging of<br />
this deponents knowledge, and that the sayd producent<br />
did alsoe constitute and appointe his this deponents precontest<br />
Philip Luxon master of her for the voyage homewards<br />
which by Gods blessing prosperously succeeded after a long<br />
captivity of this deponent and many others that came<br />
home in the sayd shipp, And further he saith he cannot<br />
depose.
To the seaventh article he deposeth and saith that the arlate<br />
Ashwyn the producent being the Owner and Proprietor<br />
of the shipp arlate, since the time he bought her, he<br />
knweth not who showld have had any losse of her<br />
but himselfe, had she miscarryed And further he<br />
cannot depose.
To the eighth article he saith that all the says shipps<br />
Company had bin slaves in Sally, and that their<br />
redemption was obteyned by the meanes of the sayd<br />
Ashwyn and others imployed therein by the Lord Protector<br />
And further he cannot depose.
To the last he saith his former deposition iis true.
To the Interrogatoryes. [CENTRE HEADING]
To the first Interrogatory he answereth negatively to all.
To the second Interrogatory he answereth that the ''Dolphin'' interrate<br />
was taken by a vessell belonging unto New Sally whereof<br />
the Governor was a part Owner And further he<br />
knoweth not to answeare./
To the third Interrogatory he answereth that the shipp ''dolphin''<br />
interrate was brought into Sally in October 1654 and<br />
that at her taking she was floating upon the high<br />
and open sea And further (referring himselfe to<br />
his former deposition) he cannot answeare.
To the fourth Interrogatory he answereth that the interrate<br />
Anthony Streete was at Sally and a Captive then after<br />
the shipp ''Dolphin'' was brought in thither, and he<br />
saithought in thither, and he<br />
