To the fifth Interrogatory he answereth th … To the fifth Interrogatory he answereth that the goods interrate<br />
were laden aboard the said shipp at Marseillis some by<br />
Isaac Lanson an hollander and some by the Agents of<br />
the Sollicovers, but none by frenchmen or subiects of the<br />
ffrench king and that the said shipp and goods were<br />
consigned to haverdegrace interrate, there to be delivered<br />
but to whom he saith he knoweth not And otherwise he<br />
cannot answeare Saving in her course from Marseillis<br />
unto haverdegrace she was intercepted./
To the sixth Interrogatory he answereth that the said shipp went with<br />
her lading first to Allicant in Spayne where she delivered<br />
out some goods and from thence unto Marsellis where she<br />
unladed the rest All which her Lading was taken in at<br />
hamborough, And that the goods at Marsellis were [?delivered]<br />
unto the Agents of the Sollicovers for their Accompt<br />
and alsoe for the accompt of the said Scotright, Longerman and other hambourgers and that the names of the Agents of the Sollicovers the Owners<br />
were alsoe Sollicovers And further he cannot answeare.
To the seaventh Interrogatory he answereth and saith that there was<br />
noe Charter party for the voyage interrate, and that the Master<br />
was to receive his freight according to the bills of Lading./
To the eighth Interrogatory he answereth that himselfe was the Purser<br />
the name of the Boatswaine is Michael Martens and Andrew<br />
hinck the steersman, And that he this Rendent firmed or<br />
signed noe bills of Lading, and that he knoweth not of anu that<br />
was firmed or signed for the goods interrate but by the<br />
Master and the Counterparts by the Merchants,<br />
And he saith that there were not any goods aboard<br />
for which there are not bills of Lading signed saving<br />
such goods as are the shipps Company And further he<br />
cannot answere.
To the ninth Interrogatory he answereth that the paprs left in<br />
the Registry and now showne unto him were aboard and<br />
belonging unto the said shipp at the time of her seizure<br />
and that besides the said papers, he knoweth of noe more<br />
papers that belonged unto the said shipp then the Passeport<br />
and the Manifesto exhibited in the deposition of his precontest<br />
Jacob hinsey, which said Manifesto is all of this Rendents<br />
handwriting and was by this Rendent delivered to<br />
the said hinsey of purpose to be exhibited intoo this Court<br />
And further he cannot answeare./
To the tenth Interrogatory he answereth that the papers and writings<br />
brought into the Registry as belonging to the sayd shipp<br />
such as are bills of Lading belonging<br />
unto the aforenamed Scoternight and the Sollicovers are true and [?reall GUTTER] but<br />
he saith for the other bills of Lading he knoweth not whether<br />
the contents thereof are true, though subscribed for true./<br />
And he further saith that the said shipp went from<br />
hamborough to Allicant and from Allicant to Marsellis<br />
And further he cannot answeare, being she was in her<br />
course from Marsellis unto haverdegrace seized on./
To the last Interrogatory he answereth and saith that he very well<br />
knoweth the handwriting of the said Jacob hinsly the Master<br />
and that the words Jacob hinsly subscribed unto the two<br />
notes interrate are the proper handwryting of the interrate Jacob<br />
hinsley, and that the contemnts of both the said notes are true.
