'''Nicholas Pollhill''' of Weymout and Melcombe Regis in the County of Dorsett<br />
merchant aged aboute 50ty yeares sworne before the worshipfull Basill Wurde doctor of Lawes and urrogate to the right worshipfull<br />
Sir Henry Marten Knighte Judge of his Majestyes highe Vourte of the<br />
Admiralty Saieth and deposeth uppon his oath That within<br />
these six yeares last past hee this deponent hath necessarily<br />
expended and layd out the somme of three thousand pounds<br />
sterlinge in prosecution of the cause wherein hee this deponent<br />
as and is complaynant against the priaticall ffacts and<br />
depradations comitted by certaine Dutch with a shippe called<br />
the ''Saint Peter'' of Rotterdam whereof one Michael Cornelius<br />
[?Tsint] was late Captaine or master upon a prize called<br />
''Nostra Signiora de Porto Salvo'' taken from a shippe called<br />
the ''Willinge Mide'' of Weymouth the<br />
4th day of January Anno 1630, which prize the sayd shippe the<br />
''Willinge Minde'' had formerly taken with lawfull letters of<br />
Marque or Reprizall under the greate seale of his Majesties high<br />
Courte of the Admiralty, And that prize hee saieth was valued<br />
to bee worth (at the tyme of the takeinge thereof) the somme of<br />
thirtye thousan dpoundes sterlinge as appeareth by the<br />
testimony of severall witnesses taken in the said Cause in<br />
the Netherlands, and alsoe in his Majesties highe Courte of the<br />
Admiralty here, the intereste of which some from the 4th of<br />
January Anno 1630 until the 24th day of March Anno<br />
1636 (after therate of 8 ''li'' per Centum) doth amounte unto<br />
the somme of fowerteene thousand eighte hundred pounds<br />
sterlinge, soe that the principall losses of him this deponent<br />
and partners beinge as is deposed the somme of thirty thousand<br />
pounds togeather with the Interests, and expenses as<br />
before hee hath declared, doth in the whole amounte unto<br />
the somme of forty seaven thousand eightie hundred poundes<br />
sterlinge And this hee saieth is true by vertue of his oath
