bee Master of her and tooke upon him <br />
the care charge and government of <br />
the said shipp to saile or bringe her <br />
home for England and not otherwise<br />
and for the rest of the said position<br />
hee referreth himselfe to the Records <br />
of this Court which hee beleeveth to <br />
bee true And otherwise hee doeth not <br />
beleeve the said pretensed position to bee<br />
true in any parte/
To the 5th pretensed position hee answereth and<br />
beleeveth that within the time arlate<br />
the said shippe the ''Jonathan and''<br />
Abigail'' did departe and set saile from <br />
Carlile bay in the Barbadoes and<br />
safely arrived in the port<br />
of London and since the arrivall of<br />
the said shippe the ''Jonathan and''<br />
''Abigail'' in this port of London all<br />
the goods wares and merchandizes<br />
which were on board her att such time<br />
as this respondent came to bee Master<br />
of her and all such as were laden<br />
aboard her att the Barbadoes the <br />
voyadge in question as hee beleeveth<br />
were by this respondent and his Com=<br />
pany delivered out of the said shipp <br />
into Lighters sent by the owners or<br />
the frieghters or theire Assignes to<br />
receive the same and noe parte of the <br />
same detained by this rendent or<br />
any of the rest of the Company.t;br />
