Rendent was put in and constitu=
ted by the factors of the freighters to
bee Master of her and tooke upon him
the care charge and government of
the said shipp to saile or bringe her
home for England and not otherwise
and for the rest of the said position
hee referreth himselfe to the Records
of this Court which hee beleeveth to
bee true And otherwise hee doeth not
beleeve the said pretensed position to bee
true in any parte/
To the 5th pretensed position hee answereth and
beleeveth that within the time arlate
the said shippe the Jonathan and
Abigail did departe and set saile from
Carlile bay in the Barbadoes and
safely arrived in the port
of London and since the arrivall of
the said shippe the Jonathan and
Abigail in this port of London all
the goods wares and merchandizes
which were on board her att such time
as this respondent came to bee Master
of her and all such as were laden
aboard her att the Barbadoes the
voyadge in question as hee beleeveth
were by this respondent and his Com=
pany delivered out of the said shipp
into Lighters sent by the owners or
the frieghters or theire Assignes to
receive the same and noe parte of the
same detained by this rendent or
any of the rest of the Company.
