where this deponent and his servants only stopped the leakes of the William [#]

[#] where her seames hath given way with being crushed
and listed the waterway seames of her deck which were started
an inch wide, and caulked her butt heads which were started some
of them an inch and a halfe wide and make her only in such condition

soe as that
shee might bee able to goe to sea and get to her port to which shee belonged, and there bee further repayred
of the bruises and hurt it appeared shee had receaved, for stopping which leakes and calkeing her as aforesayd only
this deponent and one depending a smith for nayles used thereabouts had fifty shillings odd money of the sayd huntington, but with all saith
that if all the bruises and hurt which it appeared shee the William had receaved
had bin thoroughly repaired and amended (as it stood neede) the same would
in this deponents Judgment have cost him the sayd huntington for soe repayring
the same tenn pounds at the least And further to these articles hee cannot
depose/

Upon the rest hee is not examined by the direction of the producent

To the Interrogatories./ [CENTRE HEADING]

To the first Interrogatorie hee saith hee cometh to testifie in this cause at the request of
huntington the producent And further to this Interrogatorie hee cannot answere being noe kins
man nor any of the Williams Company./

To the 2: 3 and 4th Interrogatories hee saith saving his foregoeing deposition hee cannot
answere further thereto, being none of the Williams Company nor knowing ought
touching the matters interrate./

Examined upon the sayd libell./

Noell Reynolds of Greenwich in the County of Kent Shipwright
aged twenty two yeares and upwards a wittnes sworne and
examined saith as followeth videlicet./

To the 8th and 9th articles of the sayd libell hee saith that hee being a Journeyman
to his contest Anthonie deane did in the moneth of September last worke upon and helpe
to stopp certaine leakes and other things [?slacted] in a vessell whereof the arlate huntington was
master, and called as hee heard by the name
of the William, and saith it did plainely appeare to thsi deponent that the sayd
vessell had bin greviously wrunge and bruised not longe before, but by what
meanes hee hath not heard, and saith this deponent did as a servant to the sayd
Anthony deane helpe to calke and lift five bu[?lt] heds of the said vessell which wer
started an Inch and a halfe, and mend a planke started on her inside and lift the
water seames of her deck which were also slacted an inch and a halfe wide or there
abouts and stopp such leakes as by reason of her being soe brused shee had
receaved, and must of necessitie be stopped and mended before the sayd vessell
could be fitt to goe to sea and keepe above water, which in this deponentsd
Judgment could not Cost lesse then three pounds, and saith that hee beleeveth if
the sayd vessell had bin thoroughly repaired and all things substantialy
mended which appeared to be broken and spoiled by such her being wrung and bruised
the same would have cost the repaires thereof at the least tenn pounds and
further to these articles hee cannot depose
