Transcription Ad dra Interria rendet That hee hath knownAd dra Interria rendet That hee hath knowne and sailed in the Interrate ship the<br /> ''Seaven Starres'' Paul [?Speices] Skipper for about a yeere last and<br /> came first onboard her at Memblick in Holland and<br /> saith that the said ship is a Dutch ship and is good prize for hee saith that shee<br /> belongeth to subjects of the United Provinces living in Middleborow in<br /> Zealand, and the said ship is called the ''7 Starrs'' of Middleborowe and saith that<br /> hee this deponent and one more of her Company are of Norway all the rest of the<br /> said shipps Company are Dutch, subjects of the United Provinces, and saith that the said<br /> shipp was met with by an English ffrigot on yesterday was sennight<br /> from which frigot they endeavoured to Escape by flying, and alsoe by fighting<br /> and fought her above four howers and shott many gunns at the said frigot<br /> and as the Gunner of the ''Seaven Starrs'' sayd they fired threescore and ten at her<br /> but the Master being killed and one of her Company qounded the Masters Mate<br /> cryed Quarter, and soe they were taken and saith that the said shipp ''Seaven Starrs''<br /> had then a Commission from Holland onboard to take the English but shee never tooke that he knoweth<br /> of but one Ship which was a Scotchman bound to the Indias<br /> Out of which they tooke some Provisions and soe let her goe and this was done<br /> about eight dayes before the ''Seaven Starrs'' was taken and as hee was coning<br /> from Bourdeaux which was the last Port that shee was at before seizure where<br /> shee tooke in Wine and Brandywine which was to be delivered at Middleborowe<br /> for the account of Dutch men Subjects of the said States, but the names of them<br /> hee knoweth not, nor the name of the Lader, but hee [?saw] that hee was a Dutchman and<br /> liveth at Middleborowe and went from Bourdeaux overland there And<br /> further saith that when the said ship was seized shee had three Anchors two Cables one of which is very good<br /> and some good Sailes and some old ones and good rigging and saith that the said time<br /> of her seizure shee had betweene Decks about Ninety nine<br /> [?peeces] of Brandy and nothing els but Provisions, et alr nescit Interpreted by me<br /> John de Laluce [SIGNATURE, LH SIDE] Signum dei [MARKE] Rolof Halvers[?on] [MARKE, RH SIDE] *************************** Eadem dia [CENTRE HEADING] Sup Interrys prod Examinat: '''3.'''
