Ad 23um et 24um dicit that on the 14th day of ffebruary English stile 1658<br />
at night the said ship the ''Marygold'' arrived betweene<br />
James Point and Pullapanjan neere Bantam, where shee<br />
Anchored intending the next morning to<br />
goe into Bantam Road , and the morning coming shee weighed<br />
Anchor to saile in, but there then lying three Dutch ships<br />
a little on the side Bantam, and they seeing the ''Marygold''<br />
weigh they alsoe weighed and came up unto the ''Marygold'' and two<br />
of the Commanders Came onboard her, and told<br />
the foresaid Captaine Connis (being informed that the ''Marygold'' was goeing into Bantam)<br />
that shee should not goe into Bantam, but ordered the <br />
said Connis the Commander of the said ship ''Marygold''<br />
to goe to their Admirall (which lay about 3 or 4 miles<br />
off) which hee did all the said Dutch ships goeing with him, and
