aged 20 yeeres or thereabouts sworne<br />
and Examined:/:
To the first hee saith that in the monethes arlate the<br />
arlate ffrancis ffooke was as this Deponent beleeveth<br />
a part owner of the said ship ''Anne'' John Adkins<br />
late Master and her tackle and furniture; And for a<br />
Part owner of her, hee the said ffowke was Comonly<br />
said and reported to be, at the time of the said Ships<br />
departure from home on the voyage in question,<br />
and further cannot depose./.
To the second hee saith hee cannot depose./
To the third hee saith that hee this Deponent in the<br />
voyage in Question hath heard William Malym who<br />
went out Master of the said ship the sayd voyage say<br />
that hee hired the arlate Joseph Bond to goe<br />
Boatswaine of the said ship, from hence to severall<br />
places beyond the seas, and to returne againe to this<br />
Port, or to that effect. And saith hee this Deponent doth<br />
not Knowe how much the said Bond was to have<br />
per moneth for his service in the said ship, the said<br />
voyage, But hee well knoweth for that hee went<br />
out Carpenter of her and seved in her till her<br />
Casting away hereafter mentioned, that the said<br />
Joseph Bond did well deserve the summe of thirty<br />
Eight Shillings per moneth, for his service in the<br />
said Ship, the said Voyage, And Boatswaines of<br />
that serve in such a ship as the ''Anne'' was, and<br />
on the like voyage, have seldome lesse then 38 ''s''.<br />
per moneth, and this Deponent hath knowne more given to Boatswaines that serve in such a ship and such a voyage.<br />
And further hee saith hee cannot depose.
To the 4th. hee cannot depose./.
To the 5th hee saith that on or about the Thirteenth<br />
day of November 1659 the said ship ''Anne'' departed<br />
from Gravesend on the said voyage and the said Joseph<br />
Bond in her, in the Quality of Boatswaine, and the<br />
said Bond entered into whole pay on the day that<br />
the said Ship departed from Gravesend, and saith<br />
