paid for (as hee saith) with the goods and for the use and account of<br />
the said foure producents, the premisses hee deposeth being a speciall<br />
agent therein, and for the particulars numbers, quantities and<br />
weight, hee knoweth them, for that hee tooke account thereof<br />

To the eleaventh article hee saith an deposeth that after such buying<br />

deponent at Santa domingo aforesaid marked a small part of the said hides<br />
with his owne hand with the mark in the margent (being the usuall<br />
marke and having the two first letters of the names of the said Phillip<br />
van hulten) and all the rest of the said hides hee caused to be

marked in his presence and saw them marked with the same<br />
marke, and [?on] Santa domingo aforesaid this deponent laded and<br />
caused all the said hides, Cacoa, Brazill wood Tobacco and<br />
Ginger aboard the said shipp the ''Saint Mary'' for the sole use and<br />
account of the said producents the claimers, and saw the<br />
lading there of them all aboard the said shipp.
To the twelveth article hee saith and deposeth that after and upon<br />
such lading of the said goods aboard the said shipp, the said John<br />
van lynen at Santa domingo signed and subscribed a bill of lading<br />
for the said thirteene thousand Eight hundred Ninety and [XXX GUTTER<br />
hides marked as aforesaid for the Account of the said Phillip van<br />

and a halfe, And Eighteene Quintalls, and thirteene pounds of<br />
Ginger, all for the Account of the said Phillip van hulten and<br />
Company aforesaid, Marchants of Amsterdam, Claimers in this<br />
Cause, Which hee knoweth for that hee this Deponent [XXX] well<br />
