Moreover this deponent saieth, That accord … Moreover this deponent saieth, That according to certaine advise<br />
received from Portugall aforesaid, this deponent hath found and<br />
observed, that ther said shipp with her said lading did safely<br />
arrive at Porto Porto aforesaid, and that the said [fish]<br />
was there effectually delivered to the said<br />
Policarpia de Oliveyra the factor and Agent aforesaid<br />
for the use accompt and behoofe of him the said A[ntonio]<br />
fernandez Carvajal and Companie before mentioned. And<br />
further to this article hee saieth hee cannot depose./
To the third Article of the said Allegation hee saieth, That hee well<br />
knoweth by the meanes and for the reasons aforesaid, That<br />
at such time as the said fernandez sent the said shipp and<br />
her said lading as aforesaid, hee the said fernandez did<br />
order and direct the said Poliacarpia de Oliveyra upon the<br />
receipt of the said fish to dispose of the same, and to invest<br />
the proceed thereof in a lading of sugars Shumacke and<br />
Tobaccoes to be sent in the said shipp from thence to New=<br />
haven or Roane in france aforesaid, and to consigne the same<br />
to the said Anthonio Rodrigues Morais and Jeronimo and<br />
Raphael Rodrigues Lamego Merchants there for the<br />
accompt of him the said fernandez [?and]<br />
Which the said Order was in the said shipp<br />
said to the said Policarpio de Oliveyra to the effect and<br />
purpose aforesaid, as this deponent well knoweth having seene the<br />
said Originall order, and likewise the Copie thereof now<br />
in the Booke of Copies of Letters sent by the said fernandez<br />
upon his merchandizing occasions. And further to this article<br />
he deposeth not/
To the fowerth hee saieth, That the said Antonio Rodrigues<br />
de Morais, and Jeronimo and Raphael Rodrigues Lamego<br />
arlate were and at this present are the factors Agents and<br />
Correspondents of the said Antonio fernandez Carvajal<br />
and that in the yeares 1655. 1656. and 1657. arlate, they<br />
were and now are indebted and ingaged to him the said fernandez<br />
in the summe or valew of three thousand and five hundred<br />
pounds sterling or thereabouts, as this deponent well knoweth and<br />
hath duely observed in and by the bookes and accompts of<br />
the said Anthonio fernandez, whose booke keeper this deponent<br />
for all the said time hath beene, and still is, And this<br />
