That at the time of the seizure of the said shipp the ''James'' at Lisbone<br /> in the moneth of June 1650, all and singular the persons hereafter named<br /> were mariners and of the companie of her and were by the officers of the<br /> king of Portugall (who made the said seizure) turned out of her, and<br /> imprisoned, and have lost their time and wages by the said seizure and<br /> restraint from the second of June 1650 (the day of the said imprisonment and<br /> seizure) for and during the respective monethes and dayes following videlicet<br /> Thomas Jones the masters mate continued ánd was kept under the said<br /> restraint from the said second of June till the beginning of January next<br /> following, being seaven monethes. and lost his wages for all that time;<br /> John Wood 6 monethes 16 dayes, Daniell Clarke 5 monethes 18 dayes<br /> William Essex 5 monethes 22 dayes, John humphrey 9 monethes 8<br /> dayes, Beniamin downe 8 monethes 27 dayes, John Back 8<br /> monethes 27 dayes, and Edward Mare 7 monethes and one day. And<br /> further that they were shipt and contracted with for wages that voyage<br /> respectively as followeth, Thomas Jones at twenty dollars per moneth<br /> John Wood (this deponent) at 2 ''li'' 10 ''s'' per month, daniel Clarke at 1 ''li'' 16 ''s'' per moneth<br /> William Essex at 1 ''li'' 3 ''s'' per month, John Humphrey at 1 ''li'' 16 ''s'' per moneth<br /> Thomas Willie at 1 ''li'' 4 ''s'' per moneth, Richard Bell 1li 6s per moneth<br /> Beniamin downe 1 ''li'' 5 ''s'' per moneth John Back 1 ''li'' 2 ''s'' per moneth<br /> and Edward More 1 ''li'' per moneth.
