the ice to a harbour, and thereby much discouraged the rest of the Company<br />
of the ''Owners adventure'' from performing their duties, which not withstanding<br />
this deponent continuing still his resolution to worke further into the Ice<br />
to gaine the shoare or some harbour, did commande and urge the sayd<br />
shipps company to worke farther into the Ice toward shoare, and<br />
they with much willingnesse did soe farr yeild obedience to this<br />
deponents Command as that in about tenn howers tyme they did<br />
worke the sayd too shipps ''Owners Adventure'' and ''Greyhound'' about seaven or eight<br />
myles further into the Ice towards the shoare, and within about<br />
five or sixe leagues of the shoare, And then hee saith this deponent<br />
Commanding the saud shipp ''Owners Adventures'' company to worke<br />
still on through the Ice to gaine the shoare the sayd Maundrye then speaking<br />
openly upon the deck before the whole shipps company to this deponent sayd wee (meaning<br />

you use your endeavoar to gaine a harbour or the shoare the sayd<br />
