and saith hee hath knowne the said Jeggles about three yeares<br />
who hee saith is an able seaman for ought this deponent knows<br />
to contrary, having hit all his ports well the said voyage save<br />
Port a Port, where there was some error as hee hath predeposed<br />
and saith the said Jeggles hath bin a master of a shipp all the<br />
said time of this deponents knowledge of him.
To the fourth hee saith hee conceiveth the said Jeggles did all<br />
endeavour and used all possible meanes to get into Porto at<br />
first comming with it, And otherwise hee cannot answer<br />
saving as aforesaid, saving it was at last concluded with the<br />
consent (as hee supposeth) of mr Edward Edmund Cowse who was aboard to<br />
goe to Lisbone, after they were put Southward as aforesaid.
To the fifth hee cannot answer saving as aforesaid.
To the 6th hee cannot answer.
To the 7th hee referreth himselfe to his foregoeing deposition<br />
and cannot otherwise answer.

saith and deposeth as followeth videlicet./
To the first article of the sayd allegation hee saith for that hee was<br />
not present at the treatie or hyreing in this article mentioned hee<br />
cannot depose to the contents thereof otherwise than as in his following<br />
deposition is declared./
To the 2 hee saith that hee this deponent went Chirurgion in the shipp<br />
arlate (being called the ''Anne'' of London the voyage in question and knoweth<br />
that about the sixth of November 1654 the sayd shipp sett sayle from<br />
the downes bound for Porto Port in Portugall and thense to the Barbadoes<br />
and thense to the Canarie Islands and thense to the Barbadoes againe and<br />
thense home to England, and that shee had severall goods on board her [?att GUTTER]<br />
her departure from England and that the arlate daniell Jeggles was<br />
Master of her the sayd voyage and tooke upon him the care and charge of<br />
her as Master and came with her and her outward Cargo about tenn or<br />
twelve dayes after her departure from the downes upon the Coast of<br />
