Examined upon the fore said allegation.

''Saint Peter'' (William Wilmer commander) aged 27 yeares<br />
or thereabouts sworne and examined.
To the first article hee saith and deposeth that hee well knoweth<br />
the producent doctor ffrancisco Banzi and hath soe donne for theise<br />
eight yeares last past and upwards, and alsoe well knoweth the shipps<br />
the ''Prince'' and the ''Griman'' and well knoweth by the relation of himself that<br />
servants and such as write in the Counting house of the said ffrancisco<br />
Banzi and alsoe of diverse merchants that deale and correspond<br />
with him and by letters which hee hath seene that the said ffrancisco<br />
Banzi was for all the time arlate, and is the true and lawfull<br />
proprietor of seaventeene two and thirtieth parts of the said<br />
ship the ''Prince'' and of one third part of the said ship the<br />
''Griman'' otherwise the [?''arunds''] of Medenblick, and for such<br />
commonly reputed and taken. And otherwise hee cannot depose, saving<br />
that this deponent was particularly acquainted and<br />
told by the said Banzi his servants of the time of buying the said<br />
parts by him and his paying for them, and howe much hee paid. but<br />
the summe hee remembreth not.
To the second hee cannot depose.
To the third hee saith that the said ffrancisco Banzi hath a house<br />
and habitation in Venice and frequenteth the same in his way of<br />
merchandizes, and hath another house at Como in Lombardie, where<br />
hee alsoe sometimes resideth, and by reason of such his residence<br />
at Como and his being [?home] there, hee was and is a subiect of<br />
the kinge of Spaine, and otherwise hee cannot depose./

To the first hee saith hee hath bin severall times aboard the said<br />
two shipps lying at Malamoro, and hath bin very conversant with<br />
their Captaines there of there, namely with Timeson Click<br />
Captaine of the ''Prince'', and harmaasen Lieves commander of the<br />
''Grimain'', but was never any voyage in them, nor when they were<br />
taken.
To the second hee saith the said ffrancisco Banzi is married and<br />
keepeth his wife and familie for the most part at Venice, and<br />
for the rest at Como, and hath soe donne for all the said time<br />
of this deponents knowledge of him. And otherwise saving as<br />
aforesaid hee cannot depose.
To the third hee saith hee was present at Venice when<br />
the writings were passed betweene the said Banzi and factors<br />
of Holland for transferring the third part of the ''Grimam''<br />
unto him, shee then lying at Malamon and privie to the<br />
contract and the whole businesse thereof, and hath seene the<br />
books of the said Banzi where the entrie is made of his said<br />
parts of the said two shipps, and this contract and other the<br />
particulars about the said parts passed and were donne at<br />
Venice about foure yeares since, and that hee subscribed as a<br />
witnesse to the said contract for the said third part of the<br />
''Grimam'', and otherwise saving as aforesaid hee cannot depose.
