Transcription and seized, tell this deponent that he hadand seized, tell this deponent that he had received<br /> advise that the sayd shipp was sett sayle from<br /> haverdegrace towards Cadiz, And further he cannot<br /> depose. To the fourteenth article he deposeth and saith that he hath<br /> had no acquaintance with the sayd Lopez de Apatris but<br /> onely by the meanes of the sayd de Aranguren, and he<br /> beleiveth that for fower yeares last past and at presente<br /> he liveth at Sevill, and that he is (as he beleiveth) a<br /> Spaniard borne and a Subiect (as he hath<br /> heard and beleiveth unto the king of Spayne And further he<br /> cannot depose. [CENTRE HEADING] To the first Interrogatory he answereth that he was borne<br /> at Plymouth in the County of Devon, and that he never<br /> saw the shipp the ''hare in the feild'' interrate. To the second Interrogatory he answereth that he never saw the interrate<br /> de Apatris, And that the Tendents knowledge of or concerning<br /> him was commenced upon the correspondency held between him<br /> the said de Apatris and the said Melchior de Aranguren<br /> which said Melchior did (as he beleiveth) communicate unto him<br /> the Rendent as his intimate freind all or most of his<br /> Letters, And further referring himselfe to his former<br /> deposition he cannot answeare./ To the third he answereth that he hath now further knowledge<br /> of the interrate Bertram de Baud and Mathew de La ffitt,<br /> that what meerly came bby the aforenamed Melchior de Aranguren<br /> his communicating their Letter sent unto him unto him the Rendent And that it<br /> hath appeared by such Letters that they have lived for about<br /> three yeares last past at Roane in ffrance, And further<br /> to teh said Interrogatory he cannot answeare./ To the fourth and fifth Interrogatoryes he answereth that he being<br /> here in England when the Linnens interrate were bought and<br /> laden aboard the interrate shipp the ''hare in the ffeild'' cannot<br /> answeare unto, who bought them, or of whom or how they<br /> were bought And otherwise referring himselfe to his<br /> former deposition he cannot answeare./ To the sixth and seaventh Interrogatoryes he answereth by<br /> vertue of his oath and beleiveth in his conscience that the<br /> bill of Lading comcerning the Linnens interrate which the<br /> aforenamed Melchior de Aranguren did shew this Rendent<br /> (as is predeposed) was not fictitious, nor colourable, And<br /> otherwise then referring himselfe to his former deposition<br /> he cannot amsweare./ Toition<br /> he cannot amsweare./ To  +
