To the Eighth Interrogatory he answereth t … To the Eighth Interrogatory he answereth that he knoeth<br />
not the interrate Peter Grout, more then that he hath<br />
received advise he is a Spaniard And further he<br />
cannot answeare, referring himselfe to his former deposition.
To the ninth Interrogatory he answereth that he this Rendent<br />
did together with the advise by him received from the<br />
said de Baud and De La fitt of the lading aboard<br />
the shipp the ''hare in the feild'' the Linnens before<br />
=mentioned for the use of the producent, did alsoe<br />
receive the Accompt of the quality, quantity and prices<br />
of the sayd Linnens, which was much about the time<br />
the sayd shipp was ready to sayle from haverdegrace<br />
and before she was seized, And he alsoe answereth that<br />
at the same time he was by them the said de Baud<br />
and de La fitt advised that they had sent advice of<br />
the lading of the said Linnens aboard the said shipp for<br />
the said producents account unto his the said producents<br />
Agent or ffactor (which was Peter Grout) at Cadiz,<br />
which was done by them according to his the producents<br />
order or directions given unto them
To the tenth Interrogatory he answereth that he is convinced in jhis<br />
conscience for the reasons predeposed, that the Linnens interrate<br />
doe onely belong unto, and are the proper goods of the said<br />
Lopez de Apastris And further he cannot depose.
To the eleaventh Interrogatory he answereth that he this Rendent<br />
received advise from Sevill from the producent about<br />
a yeare and three quarters since that he the sayd producent<br />
was a lading eight hundred weight of Woolls at Cadiz<br />
in a french shipp to be transported thence to Roane<br />
and that he had consigned the said wools unto his factors<br />
there the interate Bertram de Baud and Mathew de<br />
La ffitt, and he answereth and saith that the Linnens interrate<br />
were and are the proceed of the same woolls and such other<br />
effects of his the said de Apastris as upon an account currant were in their hands<br />
And he further cannot answeare, saving that the said<br />
woolls did continue long in the hands of the said de Baud<br />
and De La ffitt, because they could not get a price for them.
To the twelth Interrogatory he answereth that he this Rendent<br />
did not insure any part of the Linnes interrate<br />
and knoweth not of any insurance made upon them<br />
And further he cannot answere
To the thirteenth Interrogatory he answeareth that the<br />
Linnens interrate are (as he beleiveth) of the manufacture<br />
of frannce./
To the fourteenth Interrogatory he answereth that he hath in<br />
his custody though not with him at present the Letter of<br />
advice from Lopez de Apastris concerning his lading<br />
aboard a french shipp at Cadiz the Redd woolls<br />
predeposed of, which said Letter mentioneth the names of the<br />
shipp and Master, (which are both as he thinketh french) that brought the<br />
