and from thence to the Caribee Islands, and soe back<br />
againe for holland and he answereth that the said<br />
shipps outward Lading were hatchetts, knives, bills<br />
axes, Coopers=add[?zes] and eleaven Last of salt<br />
and some strong waters, but the value of the said<br />
shipps Lading he knoweth not And otherwise he cannot<br />
depose to that Interrogatory.
To teh second Interrogatory he answereth and deposeth (upon<br />
his certaine knowledge being aboard her all her voyage<br />
untill unto and even at the time of her seizure) that<br />
the sayd shipp did not (during the sayd voyage) cast<br />
anchor at any of the English Plantations interrate<br />
nor trade with any English in the said Country<br />
And further he cannot depose./
To the thirx Interrogatory he deposeth and answereth that the said<br />
shipp teh ''ffortune'' was upon the sixteenth day of May<br />
last (new stile) with her backward Lading being<br />
about fower hundred Sea=Cowes seized and taken as she<br />
was sayling upon the high sea about a mile and<br />
a halfe or two miles to the Leeward of the<br />
Island of the Barbadoes by the long boate belonging<br />
to an English frigatt whereof one Captaine Pasfeild was<br />
Captaine or Commander, she then being imployed in<br />
Merchants affaraires, which shipp (that soe seized the<br />
''ffortune'' had in her at the time she seized the ''ffortune''<br />
about Eighteene gunns, and he answereth that this very day<br />
he saw the said shipp here in the River, she being come<br />
with her lading of sugars, And he aksie<br />
deposeth and saith that after the seizure of the sayd shipp<br />
the ''ffortune'' by the said Captaine Passfeild his Company<br />
the shipp the ''ffortune'' was plundred of all her Lading<br />
the said shipps Master and Company all putt<br />
ashoare at the Barbadoes a month wanting a day after her seizure and the said shipp<br />
sunke, And further he cannot depose./
To the fourth Interrogatory he answereth and deposeth that<br />
the Master of the ''ffortune'' interrate was on board<br />
her at the time of her seizure, and further referring<br />
himselfe to his former answeares he saith he cannot<br />
