and others whose names this deponent cannot well at present remember<br />
or recollect, all subjects of the States<br />
of the United Netherlands<br />
this deponent not having any<br />
further particular knowledge of the Owners of the said shipp, or their<br />
particular proprieties or interest in the same And saith the persons aforesaid<br />
were and are the true and lawfull Owners and Proprietors of the said shipp<br />
the ''Orange Tree'' of Euckhuysen and of her Tackle apparrell and<br />
furniture, and for such the above specified Owners were and are<br />
commonly and generally accompted reputed and taken in the principall<br />
Ports and Parts of holland where the said shipp was as aforesaid<br />
originally built, The premisses this deponent well knoweth being a Native<br />
and constant inhabitant in and of Euckhuysen aforesaid, and having seen<br />
and observed the originall building of the said shipp or Vessell at<br />
Euckhuysen aforesaid, and having sailed in her as Stiersman and Master<br />
for the space of about 5. yeares last past. hee further saith, That<br />
the said shipp in or about the moneth of december last past sett saile<br />
and dearted from Euckhuysen aforesaid (this deponent then her Master) bound<br />
for Roane in ffrance, where shee arrived, and afterward sailed to<br />
Nantes in ffrance with ballast. And from thence to<br />
Porto Port in Portugall, where shee toke in a lading of oyles, symacks<br />
sugars and tobaccoes, designed for Roane for the accompt of the person<br />
hereafter specified, That is to say - 18. pipes of oyle, more sixe pipes of oyle<br />
more 6. pipes pf yle, more 19. pipes and 5. hogsheads, more five<br />
pipes of oyles all marked '''IP.''' together with 4. pipes of oyle which were<br />
not marked (so farr as this deponent remembreth) amounting in all to<br />
eight and fiftie pipes of oyles, all which goods were according to bills of lading<br />
subscribed by this deponent (the counterparties whereof were taken by the<br />
Officers of the said ''Tyger friggatt'' at the time of the said shipps seizure<br />
and are as this deponent beleeveth in the Registrie of this high Court of<br />
Admiraltie) laden in and aboard the said shipp at or neere<br />
Porto Porte aforesaid for the proper accompt and adventure of<br />
Joseph Pere Merchant of Amsterdam, upon whose accompt this<br />
deponent signed the said bills of lading, And doeth not know nor beleeveth<br />
otherwise but that the goods above specified did and doe before and since<br />
the time of their lading at Porto Port (which was in or about the<br />
moneths of Aprill and May last past) really belong and appertaine<br />
to the said Joseph Pere, for and upon whose accompt and risico<br />
