To the 4th hee saith hee never sayd or heard any of the company<br />
of the shipp ''dove'' say that the pretended dammage was done by the<br />
shiipp ''dove'', and in case any should have said soe it had bin<br />
false, and otherwise hee cannit depose/
To the Interrogatoryes. [CENTRE HEADING]
To the first interrogatory hee saith that hee was one of the shipp<br />
the ''dove'' in her voyage to Newcastle from London in August last<br />
all the said voyage. But what day hee ariived att Newcastle hee<br />
cannot iustly answer. And saith that the company of the ''dove''<br />
did consist of about 10 men and 2 boyes, and further to this interrogatory<br />
hee cannot answer./
To the second interrogaory hee answereth and saith that when the shipp<br />
''dove'' came to Newcastle shee was searched by her owne cCarpenter<br />
and two others that were hired, where her leakes were, and they found<br />
a peace of the head rotten which they cut out and put in a new<br />
peece, and this was the first notice this deponent had of it, and<br />
further to this Interrogatory hee cannot answer/
To the third hee saith hee hath not soe deposed as is interrogate
To the fourth hee saith that hee cannot directly tell or sett<br />
downe the day when the shipp ''Dove'' went out of winterton the voyage interrogate, But<br />
saith there were three shipps more in her company, and they all<br />
went out thence about noone, and the next day in the morning they<br />
were upp with fflamborough head, and further cannot answer/
To the fifth hee answereth negatively./
To the sixth hee answereth and saith that hee is payd all his<br />
wages, and further to this interrogatory hee answereth negatively.
