To the third hee saith that the said voyage at Newcastle, the Bowe of the<br />
said shipp the ''dove'' was not mended or altered in regard of her having<br />
come fowle of any shipp, but because a peece in her bowe was rotten<br />
and not serviceable, And otherwise hee cannot depose.
To the fourth hee saith hee this deponent hath never said that the<br />
said shipp the ''dove'' did at any time come fowle or touch or doe<br />
any damage to the ''Successe'' arlate, And otherwise hee cannot depose.

To the first hee saith there were twelve men and a boy of the<br />
''doves'' company the said voyage, and otherwise hee remembreth not<br />
saving as aforesaid.
To the second hee saith that the said mending of the ''doves'' bowe<br />
as aforesaid was taken in hand within two dayes or thereabouts<br />
after her said arivall at Newcastle, and saith the said defect in<br />
her bowe was espied before the said shipps proceeding from this<br />
port, but because the Carpenter came not aboard before shee<br />
was readie to saile, it could not be mended till her comming to<br />
Newcastle, And otherwise jhee cannot answer saving as aforesaid.
To the third hee saith hee doth not remember the day of the moneth<br />
wherein the said shipp the ''dove'' went through the Well interrogated<br />
And otherwise negatively saving as aforesaid.
To the 4th hee saith that to his remembrance it was upon a wednesday<br />
that the said shipp the ''dove'' went out of Winterton, and saith<br />
there were foure shipps went out thence in her company, but the<br />
names of the masters or shipps hee knoweth not, and otherwise<br />
hee answereth negatively.
To the 5th hee answereth negatively for his part, and<br />
otherwise hee cannot answer saving as aforesaid.
To the 6th hee saith that all his wages for the said voyage hath<br />
bin paid him eight or nine weekes agoe, and otherwise<br />
negatively.

as hee remembreth came on a wednesday to Newcastle, And otherwise<br />
saving as aforesaid hee cannot depose.
To the second hee saith that this deponent tooke in hand to mend<br />
the said bowe of the ''dove'' within a day or two after her arivall at<br />
Newcastle, and saith that searching the said shipp for leakes<br />
this deponent found the foresaid rotten peace in the head, and<br />
soe mended the same, and for his part hee did (sic) knowe that it<br />
was defective when shee proceeded hence, but having found it at<br />
Newcastle hee held it expedient to mend it there, And otherwise hee<br />
cannot answer saving as aforesaid.
