to be carried and transported in the said respective shipps to<br />
Ostend and there to be delivered to the agents of the said producents to<br />
and for his use and accompt, which hee knoweth being acquainted<br />
with the orders given as aforesaid to the said factors for the lading thereof<br />
and with their advises y letters sent to him of the said lading<br />
, and saith that<br />
in the said letters of advise sent by the said factors from Cadiz shortly after the<br />
said lading there were inclosed the eleaven first bills of lading annexed<br />
and an originall of the twelveth, which hee knoweth for that hee<br />
this deponent fetcht the said letters at the Post house in Antwerp<br />
and the producent being then sick this deponent opened them and<br />
found the said bills therein, and read them to the said producent<br />
and thereby knoweth that they purported and advised that they the<br />
said factors had laden the said silver and plate aboard the said shipp<br />
for his the said producents accompt, and hee the said<br />
producent had and received the said letters before the taking of the<br />
said shipps at least before any newes came of their seizure, and<br />
hee beleiveth the said eleaven bills of lading annexed and the originall<br />
of the twelveth to be signed with the proper hands of the said<br />
masters or their Pursers, And otherwise hee cannot depose saving<br />
that with the said letters and bills the said factors sent alsoe the facturies of the said place
To the sixth article hee saith that before the said lading the said<br />
factors alsoe wrote to the producent advising him of the receipt of his<br />
orders aforesaid and of the goods sent by him unto them and that theu<br />
had sold and disposed of all or a greate part thereof and had<br />
prevailed and were in providing of the said silver for his money<br />
and that they would lade the same aboard the said shipps for hissaid<br />
accompt, which letters this deponent alsoe sawe and read, And<br />
otherwise hee cannot depose.
