shipp, and saith that hee this deponent ha … shipp, and saith that hee this deponent hath seene in theRegistrie of<br />
this Court since the seizure of the said shipps the said bills of lading<br />
soe left with the said Captaines or Pursers to be brought along with [?them]<br />
in the said shipps, which said bills hee saith were and are true and reall<br />
bills and the contents thereof were and are true without any fraude<br />
or guile or colour of fraude whatsoever.
To the fourth article hee saith and deposeth that hee well knoweth the<br />
arlate Maximilian de [?hogha], David [?Malanstein] and ffrancis de la<br />
Sierpe, and that at or shortly after the time and times of the severall lading and putting<br />
the said severall quantities and parcells of silver, plate and peeces of<br />
eight aboard the said respective shipps the ''Sampson'', the ''Salvador'' and<br />
the ''Saint George'' they the said Maximilian da [?hogha], David [?Malanstein]<br />
and ffrancis de la Sierpe by themselves or their servants and assistants<br />
by their order wrote and sent letters of advise to Antwerp to the said<br />
producent advising him of the lading of the said respective quantities<br />
of silver and plate aboard the said respective shipps of his accompt and<br />
adventure, and therewithall sent the bills of lading annexed and nowe<br />
showed unto him together with the accompts or factories of the said silver<br />
which hee knoweth, being acquainted with the sending thereof, and for<br />
the letter of advise sent from the said Maximilian de [?hogha], hee this deponent<br />
wrote the same with his owne hand by order of the said Maximilian,<br />
and put the bills of lading and accompt for the silver soe laden by the said<br />
Maximilian therein, this deponent for a yeares speace of thereabouts<br />
that hee remained at Cadiz upon such his sending thither by the said<br />
producent, lodging in the said Maximilian da [?hogha] his house about<br />
the producents businesse; And after the said lading this deponent<br />
came from Cadiz in the shipp ''Caesar'' or ''keisar'' of Ostend (Peter<br />
de keisar master) in company with the ''Sampson'', ''Salvador'' and ''Saint George''<br />
and being parted at sea by fowle weather, the said shipp the ''keisar''<br />
made and arived at her intended port of Ostend, whence this deponent<br />
went home to the said producent to Antwerp, and at his comming<br />
thither hee found and sawe all the said letters of advise with the bills<br />
of lading and accompts soe sent from Cadiz by and from the<br />
said Maximilian da [?hogha], David [?Molanstein] and ffrancis de la<br />
Sierpe, all which had before this deponents said arivall come to the<br />
hands of the said producent in Antwerp (in whose counting house there<br />
this deponent sawe them) before any newes came thither of the<br />
taking or staying the said shipps the ''Sampson'' ''Salvador'' and ''Saint George''
To the fifth article and the twelve bills of ladeing therein mentioned<br />
and nowe showd unto him, hee saith and deposeth that the same were<br />
and are the same bills predeposed to be sent by the said factors<br />
and correspondents of the producent from Cadiz to him to Antwerp<br />
and by him the said producent there received as aforesaid, which hee<br />
knoweth for the reasons aforesaid and because hee this deponent came<br />
with the producent over from Antwerp to London about reclaiming the said silver ([?XXX]<br />
they understood of the seizure thereof) and this deponent brought the<br />
said bills (by the producents order) alonge with him in their baggs<br />
and delivered them to the producent, and sawe<br />
him the producent deliver them to his procter forfurther<br />
