Transcription surprize all the sayd six barrs of sylver surprize all the sayd six barrs of sylver were all of them aboard the sayd<br /> shipp ''Sampson'', and came into the possession of him that tooke the sayd shipp<br /> this deponent being a passenger in her from Cadize aforesayd and being aboard<br /> her att the tyme of the sayd seizure. And further he cannot depose. To the fifth he saith that the arlate Antony de Ponte was and is a Spaniard<br /> borne in Teneriffe and of the Canarie Islands and was and is a subiect of<br /> the King of Spayne, And this deponent hath knowne him for ten or<br /> eleven yeares now last past to [drive] a trade of merchandizing betwixt<br /> the West Indies, and the Canaries and other places under the jurisdiction<br /> of the sayd King of Spayne. And for and as a Spaniard and a subject[] of<br /> the sayd King the sayd producent is commonly accounted and taken and otherwise <br /> he cannot depose.
