To the 19th hee saith hee knoweth nothing … To the 19th hee saith hee knoweth nothing thereof.
To the 20th hee saith hee this deponent delivered the bills of ladeing interrate to<br />
the said John de Windt. And otherwise referreth himselfe to his foregoing<br />
deposition.
To the 22th hee saith, That immediately upon the signing of the said bills of<br />
lading (as this deponent remembreth) the said John de Windt delivered one<br />
thereof to this deponent to be transported in his said shipp, And otherwis<br />
remembreth not?:.
To the 22. hee saith the bill of lading interrate was in this deponents Chest<br />
at the time of the seizure of the said shipp amongst the other bill of<br />
lading for the said shipps Cargazon./:

and examined Deposeth as followeth
To the 8th and 9th articles of the said allegation and to the schedule therein mentioned Hee<br />
sayeth and deposeth That hee this deponent hath beene an Inhabitant of the<br />
Towne of dartmouth in the County of Devon for theis twenty yeares last past<br />
and upwards and sayeth That about december last past There was brought into the<br />
said Port of Dartmouth A Swedish Vessell of the burthen as this deponent<br />
conceiveth of about 200 Tonnes laden with Tarr and Deales of the growth<br />
of that Country which Shipp was brought in by one James B[?arrblocke]<br />
of London who after the Seizure of the said Shipp was intrusted in the<br />
conduct and bringing in of the said shipp into the said Port uppon the<br />
arrivall whereof ther were divers goods and tackle and furniture belonging to<br />
the said shipp were sold by the said [?Beare]block and Company amongst which hee sayeth<br />
That hee this deponent heareing that ther were some goods to be bought<br />
went aboard the said shipp the ''ffayth'' lyeing then at dartmouth with an<br />
intention to buy some thinges aboard the said shipp And this deponent [?and ?some ?XXXX] seeing a<br />
new Cable which as hee conceiveth was never wett would have bought the same<br />
but this deponent and the said [?Beare]blocke att the first not agreeing about<br />
the price of the said Cable went away and came againe the next day<br />
and expecting then to have gonne through with the said Bargaine the<br />
said Brarrblock told this deponent. that the said Cable and a hawser was<br />
sold for xxiiij ''li'' And saith likewise That the said [?Beare]blocke did likewise<br />
sell a barrell of Tallowe to one St[?apalyn] of dartmouth which as the said<br />
[?Stapelyn GUTTER]as the said<br />
