now in question this deponent asked him if he had any cause to suspect that any part of the sayd sylver were of the Hollanders or ffrenchmen or lyable to<br />
confiscation here, and the sayd Claes Colbrandt thereto replyed that he had not any such suspition nor cause of suspition, for that the Laders of the<br />
sayd sylver did seriously protest unto him att the lading thereof that the same was onely and truly for the accompt of Hamburghers to whom the same<br />
was consigned in the bills oflading and that he did beleive really that the sayd Laders did not falsefy therein or to that effect, and the sayd Claes<br />
Colbrandt did then and hath severall tymes since that tyme declared and affirmed to this deponent that in case he had had any doubt<br />

To the 1. 2. 3. and 4th articles of the sayd allegation This deponent saith that<br />
the arlate Antonio de Labistraet, Hans Gardts, ffrancis Sloyer<br />
Daniel Brands and Jeronimo Snitgar Adrian Youncker Joachim<br />
Van Campen Paradins sonn Albert Anquelman, Peter and Arnold<br />
Rulands ffrancis Wallich and John Baptista Younker are and<br />
every of them respectively well knowne to this deponent and<br />
the least tyme that he hath knowne any of them hath bene seven<br />
yeares, and saith that for and during all the sayd tyme every<br />
one of them severally and respectively hath bene and is a<br />
Burgher Citizen Inhabitant and merchant of Hamburgh<br />
and a subiect of the free state thereof, and hath used and doth<br />
use a constant trade in linnen wax and other peice goods<br />
from Hamburgh to Cadiz and parts of Spaine theabouts<br />
receyving returnes to Hamburgh from thence, where they<br />
have their severall factors and correspondents in goods and<br />
sylver which by reason of the great importation of that metall<br />
from the Indies to those parts of Spaine was and is an<br />
