Nicholas de Haze (merchant of Lile) dwelling at Amsterdam, and desireth<br />
payment thereof accordingly, and shorty they receaved advice from the<br />
said de Haze from Amsterdam that he had received the said bill of<br />
exchange, whereupon they wrote to him that they accepte it, and wrote<br />
to the same effect to the said Van Poulle, and accordingly tot remitt all<br />
the money by exchange to Amsterdam to the sayd de Haze, And<br />
otherwise saving as aforesaid hee cannot depose.

''Angel Gabriel'', aged thirty four yeares<br />
or thereabouts sworne in Court before<br />
the Judges of the High Court of<br />
Admiralty of England and examined<br />
saith and deposeth by vertue of his oath as<br />
followeth videlicet.
That the sayd shipp the ''Angell Gabriel'' doth belong to the Port of<br />
Hamburgh and so hath done for theis nyne or ten yeares nowe<br />
past and during all which tyme the foresayd Conrad<br />
Esser a Burgher of Hamburgh and a subiect of the free state<br />
thereof hath bene and att present is the lawfull owner proprietor<br />
and possessor of three fourth parts of the sayd shipp the ''Angell''<br />
''Gabriell'' and so accounted. And that for all the sayd tyme Casten<br />
Groube a Burgher of Hamburgh whilest he lived was and<br />
after his death till about the beginning of January last past his widdow<br />
was, the lawfull owner of the other fourth part of the sayd shipp<br />
and had the quiet possession thereof, and that about the beginning<br />
of January lasy past 1653 old stile he this deponent (who was<br />
and is a Native and Burgher of Hamburgh and a subiect of the<br />
ffree state thereof) did buy the sayd fourth part of the sayd shipp<br />
formerly as aforesayd belonging to the sayd Casten Groube (who<br />
was the former master of her) of and from the widdow of the<br />
sayd Groube and payd to her for the same one thousand markes<br />
