Stiersman of the said shipp the ''Sampson''<br />
aged 70 yeares or thereabouts, sworne<br />
and examined.
To the first article of the said allegation hee saith and deposeth<br />
that the shipp the ''Sampson'' arlate was built at Lubeck about<br />
seaven yeares sinc, this deponent living and being then there<br />
and seeing her on the stocks, which her building was begun in the<br />
yeare 1645 and finished in the yeare 1646 or thereabouts, which<br />
hee knoweth being master of her upon her said finishing, and saith<br />
that Antonio Wesel of Lubeck who caused her to be built<br />
not being able to pay for her, presently sold her to the arlate<br />
