Judge of his Majesties highe Courte of the Admiralty being examined<br />
uppon certaine Interrogatories ministred to him on the behalfe of<br />
Peter Jones and Company saieth and deposeth as followeth/
To the first hee saith that hee this examinate did very well knowe<br />
the interrate shippe called the ''Saint Andrewe'' and saieth that shee<br />
was in the yeare 1636 sett out from this porte of London uppon a voyage for<br />
Binney and Ginney and hee<br />
came to knowe her in going forth master of her that voyage and<br />
for that hee as present when the Scotch Ginney Company<br />
bought her or caused her to bee bought, and shee was a fflemish<br />
built shippe And more to this Interrogatory hee deposeth not/
To the second hee saieth that the said shippe the ''Saint Andrewe''<br />
did at firste goe from Ginney to Saint Thoma by the direction of<br />
the Cape Merchante of her called Mr Jerommey Van Leechfeild<br />
to seeke for trade there which hee knoweth to bee true being<br />
then master of the said shippe And more to this Interrogatory hee cannot<br />
depose/
To the third hee saieth that the reason whie the said shippe the<br />
''Saint Andrewe'' returned backe for Ginney and Binny againe from<br />
Saint Thoma aforesayd was as this examinate conceiveth for that they would<br />
gett noe traffique or trade there at that tyme there being<br />
noe sugar to lade the said shippe with And more to this interrogatory<br />
hee cannot depose/
To the 4th hee saieth that since the said shippes returne from<br />
Saint Thoma aforesaid for Ginney hee this examinate hath seene the said<br />
shippe the ''Saint Andrew'' at Saint Thoma but howe or wherefore<br />
shee came thither hee knoweth not, but hath heard shee came in<br />
thither to seeke for trade And more to this interrogatory hee cannot<br />
depose.
To the 5th hee saieth that if the wynde bee faire to bringe a<br />
shipp from Binney or Ginney for London Saint Thoma is not [?only] of the<br />
way there[?hene] And more hee deposeth not.ay there[?hene] And more hee deposeth not. +
