Ad primum [?schedulum] et reltiquos arlos libelli in hac parte dat et oblat<br />
dicit et deponit That about Michaelmas anno domini 1635 this deponent<br />
beinge an accomptant was imployed by John Jobson then master of the arlate shipp the ''Blessinge''<br />
to make-up the accomptes<br />
aswell of all such severall sommes of money as were oweinge by<br />
the sayd shipp for Carpenters work, Brasiers and bricklayers worke in<br />
makinge of fornace, and for sayles, pullyes topps blocks, cordage victuallinge<br />
gunns and munition, Iron worke and other necessaryes to make her<br />
fitt to goe to sea on her then intended voyage to New England<br />
for which the sayd Jobson delivered him severall bills under the<br />
parties hands to whome he sayd debts were oweinge, as alsoe of all<br />
such somes of money as were oweinge or received for the fraighte of<br />
goods or passengers which were to be transported in the sayd shipp<br />
to Newe England, and the sayd accompts<br />
beinge drawen up and perfected accordinge to the generall nots and instructions delivered and given to him it<br />
did therebye appeare that the sayd shipp was then indebted the<br />
somme of five hundred fiftye seaven pounds fifteene shillings<br />
amnd nine pence of lawfull money of England over and above<br />
the severall sommes of money received for the fraighte and <br />
transportation of passengers and goods in the sayd outwards voyage or for<br />
any other thinge for which the sayd shipp was creditor And this<br />
he affirmeth uppon his oath to be true. Et alr nescit deponere<br />
savinge he sayeth that neere about twelve monethes since the sayd Jobson<br />
came to him agayne to drawe up another accompte of the debts<br />
and creditts of the sayd shipp which second accompte beinge perfected<br />
accordinge to the instructions delivered him by the sayd Jobson<br />
it did appeare that her former debts were then still oweinge, and<br />
that the sayd shipp was more indebted then she was when<br />
the sayd former accompte was made up by him, over and above all<br />
the fraight and profitt received for her service and imployment<br />
since the makinge up of the sayd former accompte./

producent for these thirtye yeares last past or thereabouts, and that about nyne<br />
or ten yeares since this deponent beinge at Bristll<br />
sawe the said Mabb come in there, Master of a shipp of Bristoll, which had<br />
bene there (as was reported) on a voyage to the Straights, and ever<br />
since that tyme the said Mabb hath either taken commande as master or<br />
gonne masters mate opf severall shipps, and once within the same tyme was<br />
masters mate of one of his majestyes shipps, and is an able mariner and<br />
well experienced in the arte of navigation, and is well respected, and<br />
