The personall answeres of William [?Grand] … The personall answeres of William [?Grand] made<br />
to the positions of a pretended allegation given<br />
against him on the behalfe of owen<br />
dowrish as followeth videlicet.
To the fift (sic) position of the said pretended allegation he<br />
answeareth and beleeveth that the arlate Thomas<br />
haslewood did take noe tunnage in the shipp the<br />
''Neptune'' arlate, the voyage in question but the<br />
goods of the said haslewood were laden aboard the<br />
shipp upon account of the tunnage taken by one<br />
Joshua Warren And otherwise he doth not beleeve<br />
the said pretended position to be true in any part<br />
thereof
To the sixt position of the said pretended allegation he<br />
answeareth and beleeveth that the arlate William<br />
Johnson did take noe tunnage at all in the shipp<br />
arlate the voyage libellate And further he<br />
referreth himselfe to the Charter party arlate And<br />
otherwise he doth not beleeve the said pretended<br />
position to be true in any part thereof.
To the seaventh position of the said pretended allegation<br />
he answeareth and beleeveth that there were<br />
brought home in the shipp arlate for the account<br />
of the arlate William Johnson the voyage in<br />
question foure Tonnes of goods and not above as hee beleeveth which goods were brought home upon account of the tunnage taken in<br />
the said shipp for the said voyage by Mr Joshua<br />
Warren<br />
and this Rendent received freight for<br />
the same from the said William Johnson or Abraham<br />
Johnson his brother as he beleeveth And otherwise<br />
he doth not beleeve the said position to be true in<br />
any part thereof.
To the eighth position of the said pretended allegation<br />
he answeareth and beleeveth that there were<br />
brought home in the shipp arlate for account of<br />
the arlate John Langley the voyage arlate nine<br />
tunns and a halfe of goods and not above as he<br />
beleeveth and not above as he<br />
beleeveth +
