aboard the shipp arlate a certaine quantit … aboard the shipp arlate a certaine quantity of iron<br />
and some sugars and other goods to be transported<br />
from Madera or some other place neere thereunto<br />
and that the gactors of the said Batt who went in<br />
the said shipp the voyage aforesaid, had and received<br />
the freight due for the said goods but what the<br />
particulers of the said iron sugars and other goods<br />
were, and what the freight of them amounted<br />
unto these Rendents know not nor were ever<br />
informed And otherwise they nor any of them<br />
doe not nor doth beleeve the said pretended position<br />
to be true in any part thereof
To the eleaventh position of the said pretended allegation<br />
they and every of them doe answeare and beleeve<br />
that in the outward voyage arlate from England<br />
there went in the shipp arlate three passnigers (sic)<br />
and noe more as they beleeve the passage of each<br />
of them being worth five pounds and noe more as<br />
they beleeve, and they alsoe beleeve that the<br />
mony due for the freight of the said passnigers (sic)<br />
was received and layed out by the said<br />
Middleton by the appointment of the said<br />
Thomas Batt for the use of the said Batt<br />
and accounted and allowed to him the said Batt<br />
at Gravesend, before the said shipp set sayle<br />
from thence on her outward voyage And<br />
otherwise they nor any of them doe not nor<br />
doth beleeve the said pretended position to be<br />
true in any part thereof.
Tio the twelveth position of the said pretended allegation<br />
they and every of them doe answeare and beleeve<br />
that there were laden aboard the shipp arlate<br />
in her returne from Allecant to England the<br />
voyage arlate a certaine quantity of currants<br />
the freight whereof amounted to the summe of<br />
