annos agens 68 aut eo circiter testis.
Ad primim arlum et sched in eadem m[?mentionato] deponit that hee hath<br />
for two yeeres last and upwards bin Booke Keeper of and for the<br />
producent Gaspar Speckhouwer, who is (as hee saith) a Merchant<br />
of very eminent qualities, traffiquing to England, ffrance, Spaine, and<br />
into the Streights and other places, and that hee is a native of Antwerp<br />
where this deponent hath knowne him from his infancie, in which infancie<br />
this deponent hath often had him in his armes. And saith that in March<br />
last the said producent wrote and gave order to the arlate Bonnart<br />
and de Panno his factors at Amsterdam (acting in company) to looke out<br />
and buy for him a shipp of about 200 lasts, of the price of about<br />
nine or tenn thousand guilders, intimating his purpose to imploy her<br />
to Rochell to fetch salt, having found that to be a good traffique,<br />
and after the first letter, hee confirmed such his order by others,<br />
with direction to draw upon him for the payment for the said shipp<br />
and chardges, and signifying that hee would provide a Master and<br />
Mariners for her in Brabant or fflanders to fetch her from<br />
Amsterdam to saile her for his accompt, or to the same effect, as is and<br />
by the three letters arlate appeareth, to which hee referreth himsefe, and<br />
which hee saith are true extracts out of the producents bookes of copies<br />
of letters, and that the contents thereof were and are true. Et alr nescit.
Ad 2um arlum et schedulas deponit that the times arlate the<br />
said productent wrote to his said factors to the effect arlate namely<br />
they had hoped they had bought such a shipp according to his order<br />
and afterwards, that hee found that they were agreed of the price as<br />
is arlate, and that they had honoured their draught, and would<br />
make payment accordingly, referring himselfe to the letters arlate<br />
numbred or marked '''D. E.''' which hee saith are extracted (like as the former)<br />
out of the producents books of copies of letters by Cornelius Picq a<br />
Notarie of Antwerp, well knowne to this deponent, and whom this<br />
deponent soe busies in the said perusall of the bookes and extracting<br />

deponit that the said Bonnart and de Panno having brought that<br />
said shipp for the said producent, signified such buying and cost unto<br />
him, and of their purpose to draw and after that they had drawne<br />
the payment and chardges upon him and senthim the accompt<br />
amounting as is arlate, and saith that the schedules marked Number<br />
'''2. 3. libro B''' were and are the said Bonnart and da Pann their<br />
said originall letters soe sent to the said producent, the hand of which letters<br />
hee saith is very well knowne to him to be the hand of their letters<br />
which hee knoweth by the frequent liberall correspondance which they<br />
