Ad 1ud dicit that hee was not one of the Company of the<br />

Ad 2ud dicit that hee beleaveth hee gave the<br />
said Mr Sprye a Bill of Sale for the said ship, but doth<br />
not Knowe whatever hee did or not, it being a custome<br />
at Nante oftentimes to make verball Bargaines for ships before<br />
witnesses and for the rest hee referrs himselfe to his foregoing<br />

Ad 1a positionem Libelli in hac causa dat dicit et deponit That<br />
about the latter end of August or beginning of September<br />
1659: Zachary Sewell the Master of the late ship the ''White Beare'' did deliver her with her<br />
Appurtenances up unto the arlate Augustine Perry for him the<br />
said Perry, the arlate Matthew Noell, and one Morgan Jones<br />
shee being taken by a Commission granted to them by the King<br />
of Swedeland or his Agents as this deponent was readily informed<br />
and this deponent was present when the said ship was soe delivered<br />
up to the said Perry, and sawe the said Perry take possession<br />
of her, et alr nescit./.
Ad 2da dicit that the said ship the foresaid time was well worth<br />
two hundred and twenty pounds sterling in this deponents Judgement<br />
who hath knowledge in the work of value of vessels having<br />
formerly used the sea, and further (saving hee Referreth himselfe<br />
to the registry of this Court) hee cannot depose./.

Ad 1us dicit that the said Perry requested this deponent to come and<br />
testify herein and saith hee hath not received ought nor is promised<br />
or expecteth ought for his testifying herein, and the said Mr Perry<br />
well knewe that this deponent was present when the said ship was soe<br />
delivered up to him as aforesaid and therefore spoake to him to<br />
come and be Examined herein et alr negative./.
