and the said Captaine and some Merchants which hee had onboard ordered about three or<br />
foure and twenty men to foe on board the ''Starr'', and<br />
ordered them to send about a Dozen men or thereabouts of the [XXXX] onto the ''Starr''<br />
onboard the ''Alexander'', which was accordingly don, and<br />
those men which brought this Deponent onboard the ''Alexander''<br />
and those which were sent onboard her by the ''Alexanders''<br />
Company were put in the ''Alexanders'' hold all that night<br />
and Guards [?set] over them, with Pistolls and Cutlace{?s],<br />
and such like Weapons, and in that night and the next morning hee saith the<br />
said men which were soe put into the ''Starr'' sailed her<br />
back about five and Twenty Leagues, and both in<br />
that night and the next morning the ''Alexanders'' men<br />
did drawe out a great deale of wine out of the Pipes<br />
and put itt in Jarrs and Rundletts and saith they<br />
filled all the Empty Jarrs Rundletts and Empty Casks<br />
they could find either in the ''Golden Starr'' ''Alexander'' or<br />
her Ketch, and Conveyed the same on board the ''Alexander''<br />
and Ketch; And saithh in the morning the said Captaine<br />
and two of his Merchants went with this Deponent shewing them Mr<br />
Boones Letters and bills of Lading, and after they had perused<br />
them they were somewhat satisfyed, and the said Captaine<br />
and Merchants swore to this Deponent that if all the Merchants of<br />
England had bin this Deponents ffreightors except Christopher<br />
Boone they would have carried this Deponents ship and Lading<br />
to Brazill, and there have sold the same or to that effect; this Deponent asking<br />
what relation they had to Mr Boone more then to any other<br />
Merchant, one of them made Answer, that hee was owner<br />
of halfe their ship, and procured them their Portugall<br />
Commission; And further saith that after this Deponent had soe<br />
shewed his Reall Papers to the said Captaine and Merchants<br />
they ordered their men which was then in the ''Starr''<br />
to take out two Pipes and two hogsheads of wine out of<br />
the said ship which was accordingly done, and by their order<br />
was Carryed onboard the ''Alexander'' or ketch or one of them<br />
and the said ''Alexanders'' men alsoe tooke away a Cutlace<br />
a Pot with a Silver Cover, two Tankards Spones and Platters all this Deponents Table Linnen<br />
and Cloathes and Necessaryes from the Seamen, and they<br />
tooke away, let fly, killed and was the Cause of the Death of<br />
