To the first hee saith that hee laded goods in the said shipp for his owers<br />
account as aforesaid, and the same were in her when shee was stopt at Plimouth<br />
and that they were for their [?kindes] as aforesaid, and this deponent was himselfe<br />
to have received and disposed of them at Cadiz, but for the valew thereof hee<br />
saidth hee cannot declare the same without his papers which are in the said shipp<br />
at Plimouth. And further saving as aforesaid hee cannot answer.
To the second hee saith hee doth not now call to minde the names of<br />
the other persons that laded goods aboard saving the said van de[XXX] and<br />
van kulen, nor the particulars [?kindes] or valewes of their goods, saving<br />
Peter [?Trist] hereafter mentioned
To the third hee saith hee saw some of the said goods that [XXXX] laded aboard at the key and in<br />
lighters at Amsterdam immediately before their lading, but (saving his<br />
owne) hee saw none of them in the warehouses or places out of which they<br />
were bought, And further hee cannot depose saving as aforesaid.
To the fourth hee saith hee doth not knowe that any of the laders of any<br />
of the said goods that were soe in the ''Marcus Aurelius'' when shee was staid<br />
at Plimouth, have or hold any correspondence with Spaniards or Spanish Subiects or others<br />
living or Inhabiting at Cadiz or other place or places in he Subiection of<br />
the king of Spaine, or that sold any goods for any such person or persons<br />
in the united Netherlands, saving hee saith the said mr van keulen corresponds<br />
with his brother Elias van keulen a holland merchant residing somtimes at<br />
Cadiz, and saith hee beleeveth they are all hollanders and other dutch<br />
residing at Cadiz and places thereabouts as Sevill, and the [XXXXs]<br />
that were to receive and dispose of the said lading, and that are the<br />
correspondents of the laders of the said goods, And further hee cannot<br />
as hee saith answer to this Interrogatorie.
To the fifth hee saith that hee beleeveth that none of the said shipps goods<br />
[?at ?lading] were bought with any goods or effects of any Spaniards or Spanish<br />
subiects, or with the proceed of any goods sent from the[?ce], or that were<br />
any retourne thereof, and further hee saith hee cannot answer to this<br />
Interrogatorie.
To the 6th hee saith that hee doth not beleeve that any of the goods laded<br />
aboard the said shipp were soe laded for account of any Spanish subiects<br />
dwellers in the Spanish terrotories or [XXXXXX], or that any such had or<br />
have ay partnershipp in the same, but [?that] they were and are for account<br />
of subiects of the said States of the united Netherlands, and further hee<br />
cannot as hee saith answer.
To the 7th hee saith hee well knoweth that there was noe designe of<br />
having the said shipp being imployed as a Spanish man of warr or to<br />
trade for Spaniards any where, and beleeveth that no Spaniard or [XXXXX]<br />
had or hath any interest in her, And further hee cannot depose saving<br />
as aforesaid.
To the 8 hee saith hee was not present at the buying of any of the goods<br />
laded aboard the said shipp, but only of his owne aforesaid, which of<br />
his owne hee saith hee bought about five monethes since, some at<br />
Amsterdam, and therest at harlem, but from or of whom hee bought<br />
themrom or of whom hee bought<br />
