To the first hee saith that Francis Cole, the now<br />
Master of the said ship ''Mary Rose'' requested him to<br />
come and Testify herein, and this Deponent was Gunner<br />
of the ''Mary Rose'' the sayd time, and saith hee receaved<br />
all his wages for the said voyage presently after<br />
his Coming to London with the said ship, and saith<br />
the'' John'' came foule of the ''Mary Rose'' about<br />
halfe an houre after their weighing as aforesaid,<br />
and to the rest hee referreth himselfe to his<br />
foregoeing deposition./:
To the second hee saith that it was allmost high.<br />

''John'' afterwards came a ground & was sunck./:
To the 3d Negatively
To the 4th hee saith that the ''Mary Rose'' after the ''Johns'' coming<br />
foule of her as aforesaid did saile away leaving the<br />
''John'' riding at Anchor in safety and saith hee knoweth<br />
not where the ''John'' came aground but hath head it<br />
was about two ships length off of the place where<br />
shee was left at Anchor which place is something<br />
Steepe, and further cannot Answer.//
To the 5th hee saith the wind was the time Interrate in this Deponents<br />
Judgement at South west and by west, the wind blowing<br />
allmost right downe the River. & otherwise cannot<br />
answer./.
To the 6th hee saith that the place where the ''John'' was left<br />
at an Anchor is about the breadth of two ships and a halfe length<br />
and saith that sometimes when ships that are ahead<br />
call to the ships that are a sterne to slacken sailes they accordingly doe<br />
soe, and otherwise hee cannot Answer saving as aforesaid./.
