To the first, second, third, and fourth articles of the sayd Allegation<br />
hee saith that in and about the monethes of May and June<br />
16757: the arlate Mr ffernandez and Mr Page had discourse<br />
and treaty with one John Lopez about sending a ship and<br />
Cargoe from England or Holland to the Spanish West<br />
Indias for the Account of them the sayd Mr ffernandez <br />
and Mr Page, and Company, and desired the said Lopez<br />
to Goe Supra Cargoe of the ship that should foe the sayd<br />
Voyage and to mannage the Trucking, selling,<br />
and Bartering away of the Outward Cargoe at the said<br />
West Indias, for their best Advantage, which the said John<br />
Lopez at their Instance undertooke: And the said Mr<br />
ffernandez and Mr Page, and Company, apointed one<br />
Patrick Betts to goe Master of the sayd ship which should goe the<br />
voyage, and alsoe appointed one Ayleward to goe assistant<br />
to the said John Lopez; And the said Designe and voyage<br />
being Agreed upon the said Mr ffernandex bought or<br />
caused to be bought a Considerable Quantity of Goods<br />
on this City, namely stuffs of severall sorts, and silke<br />
stockings and other Goods, and this deponent was present<br />
at the buying of some of the said Goods, and sawe money<br />
paid for some of the same by the said Mr ffernandez<br />
his Cashier, with the sayd Mr ffernandez his Money, and by<br />
his Order, and after the sayd goods were soe bought, and<br />
Provided they were put on board one of his Dutch vessells,<br />
and sent over therein to Amsterdam, and the said Lopez<br />
Ayleward and Betts, or some or one of them went<br />
over therewith, And the sayd Goods were Consigned to be delivered<br />
at Amsterdam to one John Tilly Merchant there Resding<br />
and the said Mr ffernandez then wrote to the sayd Tilly to Provide<br />
more Goods there and alsoe to buy a shipp to Carry the goods which<br />
should be there bought and those which were sent over by him the<br />
said Mr ffernandez, and other Merchants from hence to the Spanish<br />
