did on the behalfe of himselfe and the foresaid Owners Provide<br />
all the foresaid materialls for the said ships setting forth on<br />
the said voyage; and did alsoe Goe Master of the said ship<br />
all the said voyage untill her said seizure and was<br />
Carried in the said ''Laurell Tree'' to Lisbone in Company<br />
of the said ship ''Catherine'', And further Cannot depose
To the 5th hee saith that the said Henry Baldero<br />
William Harris, and John Sheppard are all of them<br />
Englishmen Borne, and Subjects of this Comonwealth<br />
and live in Holland onely as Merchant Strangers.<br />
and not as Subjects of the States of Holland. and saith<br />
that the said Henry Baldero is one of the Company<br />
of the Merchant Adventurers of England. which he<br />
knoweth for that hee hath bin Imployed<br />
Master of ships by the said Baldero Harris and Sheppard<br />
for theise three yeares last, And hath knowne them all [?theise GUTTER]<br />
Twelve yeeres last, And further cannot depose/
To the 6th hee saith that hee this deponent (who is the<br />
arlate John Thampson) hath lived and Inhabited at<br />
Shadwell Dock, and East Smithfeild neere London for theise five or<br />
six yeeres last, (saving when hee hath bin in Voyage<br />
in the service of Englishmen,) and saith hee is here<br />
maried, and liveth now with his said wife in East Smithfeild<br />
aforesaid, neere unto this City; and hath a Certificate<br />
(granted by the sayd Major of this City of London) of His ffreedome of this City, under the Seale of the<br />
said City: And saith hee is a Subject of this Comon=<br />
wealth:<br />

hath, and doth at present drive a great Trade upon his<br />
