Transcription transported for London for the sayd Brittotransported for London for the sayd Brittons Accompt and there<br /> delivered to him And this deponent notwithstanding did observe (that in<br /> the three bills of ladeing all of one tenor brought to this deponent to be<br /> signed for the sayd five pipes of wine and by this deponent signed for<br /> them on or about the day of the date of the sayd bills of which [?here]<br /> the bill to this alleagtion annexed is one) the sayd wynes were therein mentioned)<br /> to bee laden for Accompt of david Constantine and consigned to<br /> be delivered to William and John Vandervoart, and beleeveth as<br /> well the sayd fictitious name of david Constantine as lader, as<br /> the names of William and John Vandervoart were made use for the<br /> better securing the sayd wines from Confiscation which they would<br /> have bin in danger of if they had bin knowne to have bin either<br /> laded for Accompt of or consigned to any subiect of the Common=<br /> wealth of England And verily beleeveth that the name david<br /> Constantine in the sayd bill of ladeing expressed the arlate Robert<br /> Britton is really meant and intended and that hee is the very person for<br /> whose Accompt the sayd five pipes of wyne were laden And<br /> further hee cannot depose./ To the 10th article of the sayd allegation and the letter of Advice,<br /> factorie and bill of ladeing therein mentioned hee saith saving his<br /> foregoeing deposition hee cannot depose knowing nothing touching<br /> the sending of them/ To the 11th article of the sayd allegation hee cannot of certayne<br /> knowledge depose anything thereto but beleeveth the sayd<br /> wines were bought and provided with the goods and effects of the sayd<br /> Robert Britton remayning in the hands of the arlate Perez And<br /> further hee cannot depose for that hee knoweth not whether any ensurance<br /> be made of the sayd wynes./ To the 12th article hee saith hee knoweth not the arlate Richard Baker<br /> and hath knowne the arlate Britton for those two yeares last or thereabouts<br /> for which tyme hee saith hee hath bin commonly reputed an English<br /> man borne and an Inhabitant and Marchant of London And further hee<br /> cannot depose/ To the 13th 14th 15th and 16th articles of the sayd allegation hee<br /> saith that the sayd five pipes of wyne being as aforesayd at<br /> Oratava laden by the sayd Perez aboard the ''Mary and Joyce''<br /> shee departed thence with them and other her<br /> ladeing of wynes and other goods aboard her bound for London<br /> and in her course thitherwards was with the sayd five pipes of<br /> wyneth the sayd five pipes of<br /> wyne  +
