Majorca gave the Company of the ''Saint Antonio'' a moneths pay<br />
gratis for saving her out of the hands of the English And hee<br />
further saith that had not the sayd shipp ''Saint Antonio'' bin soe rescued<br />
and carried thence to Majorca shee had not bin imployed against<br />
the subiects of this Commonwealth nor the ''Anne Pearcie'' and<br />
her ladeing soe destroyed as aforesayd And further hee<br />
cannot depose./
To the 7th article hee saith hee being Master of her as aforesayd<br />
well knoweth that the ''Anne Pearcie'' and her tackle furniture<br />
apparrell and stock the tyme arlate was well worth five<br />
thousand pounds sterling and more And that her freight for<br />
the sayd voyage would have amounted to a thousand pounds<br />
more at least of like money And that the Adventurers of<br />
the Mariners of her (then alsoe aboard her) were worth five<br />
hundred pounds and more of like English money./
To the 8th hee saith hee being Master as aforesayd and well<br />
knweth that the ''Anne Pearcie'' the tyme arlate had aboard<br />
her a great quantitie of money and diamonds and other<br />
ritch ladeing for Account of the arlate dethick Browne and Company And therefore in his Judgment and estimate<br />
her ladeing aboard her the tyme aforesayd for the Accompt<br />
did amount to forty five thousand pounds sterling at least<br />
all which was lost bt the meanes aforesayd And further<br />
hee cannot depose./
To the last hee saith that in his this deponents Judgment the arlate<br />
ffairefaxe, Le Gay, and Company by reason of the losse of<br />
the ''Anne Pearcie'' in manner aforesayd, are through want of<br />
her imployment upon the designe shee was then out upon,<br />
damnified at least two thousand pounds sterling [?over]<br />
and above the value of the sayd shipp and her stock predeposed<br />
of And further hee cannot depose./
