left to the forenamed William Warren who went Supracargo as aforesayd<br />
in the sayd shipp which William Warren did in manner predeposed<br />
dispose of the sayd Wollen Cloath Callicoes and other goods and<br />
carried the proceede of them or soe many of them as was disposed of<br />
to the Canaries And further saving his forefoeing deposition hee<br />
cannot answere./
To the 3 Interrogatorie hee saith hee knoweth of noe ffactor or Agent the<br />
sayd Thomas Warren had at the Canaries save the sayd William<br />
Warren who went Supracargo of the ''Mary and Joyce'' and her lading on<br />
behalfe of the sayd Thomas Warren the whole voyage in question<br />
and mannaged and disposed of the sayd shipps ladeing in all<br />
places, And saith the sayd William is Commonly reputed a Native<br />
of devonshire and a subiect of this Commonwealth but where his<br />
residence hath bin during the tyme Interrogat hee knoweth not And<br />
further hee cannot answere/.
To the 4th Interrogatorie hee saith hee knoweth the Interrogate William Warren<br />
and saw and was with him at the Canaries the voyage Interrogate and knoweth that hee<br />
there laded forty pipes of Canary wines abaord the ''Mary and''<br />
''Joyce'' for Accompt of himselfve and some other Englishmen whereof<br />
hee this respondent was one, but the greatest part of the sayd forty<br />
pipes were for the sayd William Warrens owne proper Account<br />
And saith that there were not tenn pipes of the sayd forty pipes marked<br />
with a different marke from the other thirty of them, but the tenn pipes of different marke, were different from the hundred and<br />
nyntie pipes that is to say from the hundred and fiftie which were<br />
laden for the proper Accompt of the foresayd Thomas Warren, and<br />
from thirty of the forty laden by the sayd William Warren for his<br />
owne and others Accompt but by whose meanes or for what reason<br />
those tenn were marked with a different marke, hee knoweth not<br />
neither knoweth hee by whose meanes or for what reason the<br />
hundred and fiftie pipes claymed by the sayd Thomas Warren<br />
were marked with the same marke as thirty of those forty<br />
were, which were laden for Accompt of the sayd William Warren<br />
and others And further hee cannot answere./
To the 5th Interrogatorie hee saith hee did not see the bill Interrogate<br />
signed, nor knoweth whether the same were aboard the ''Elizabeth''<br />
Interrogate at the tyme of her seizure, neither did hee deliver<br />
the same to the proctor that exhibited it nor knoweth<br />
who did./
To the 6th hee saith hee is sure that noe person save the sayd Thomas<br />
Warrenon save the sayd Thomas<br />
