To the second Interrogatorie hee saith, That hee this deponent was at<br />
Berghen in Norway at such time as the said shipp the ''Charity''<br />
(by and according to common and credible report there) was by the servant<br />
or Agent of John Shorter an English Merchant and commonly<br />
reputed Subject of this Commonwealth in the Interrogatorie mentioned<br />
publiquely there bought for and upon the accompt and to the<br />
behoofe of the said John Shorter, who (as this deponent both at<br />
Berghen aforesaid and by the said shipps Companie hath<br />
constantly and credibly heard) was and is the sole Owner and<br />
Proprietor of the said shipp and of her tackle apparrell<br />
and furniture, and for and as such commonly reputed and<br />
