To the 4th Interrogatorie hee saith to the … To the 4th Interrogatorie hee saith to the best of his now remembrance there<br />
was five and twenty Mariners belonging to the ''Unitie'' the<br />
voyage in question, but what their whole wages amounted to by the moneth hee knoweth<br />
not and saith hee knoweth nothing touching the payment thereof more than<br />
what hee hath before declared and therefore cannot further answere to<br />
this Interrogatorie./
To the 5th Interrogatorie hee saith for that hee went from Antego within three or<br />
fower dayes or thereabouts next after the arrivall of the ''Unitie'' there hee<br />
hee knoweth not what passengers dyed nor how they were disposed of<br />
nor what the price or rate of servants then was there And therefore<br />
cannot further cannot answere to this Interrogatorie./

sixe yeares or thereabouts a wittnesse sworne and examined<br />
saith and deposeth as followeth videlicet./
To the first article of the sayd allegation hee saith hee was not present at the con=<br />
tract made betweene the arlate Jefferies and Lewellin and the arlate Smith<br />
Roberts and Moulson touching the voyage in question and therefore cannot depose<br />
to the contents of the sayd article saving hee saith the sayd Smith Roberts and<br />
Moulson were commonly reputed to bee then part owners of the shipp ''Unitie''<br />
arlate./
To the second and third there was some provisions of victualls<br />
and Cloathes put aboard the sayd shipp for the sayd voyage but by whome or<br />
upon whose Accompt the same was put on board hee knoweth not and saith<br />
what number of peeces of beefe were put on board her in England hee<br />
knoweth not but verily beleeveth they did not exceede the number arlate<br />
accounting shankes and whatsoever could bee accounted And further to<br />
these articles heecannot depose/
To the 4th and 5th articles hee saith that hee this deponent being a mariner and one<br />
of the sayd shipps Company during the voyage in question thereby knoweth<br />
that in the moneth of June and about the sixteenth day thereof the sayd shipp<br />
''Unitie'' sett sayle from Gravesend bound upon the voyage in Question and<br />
mett with contrary windes by meanes whereof it was about the second<br />
of August next after ere shee gott into dublin haven, where shee was<br />
designed to goe to take in servants for Accompt of the sayd Jefferies and<br />
Lewellin to be transported there to Virginia And the sayd Jefferies and<br />
Lewellin did on board the sayd shipp ''Unitie'' before her departure from<br />
Gravesend promise and saye to the sayd Captaine Moulson in presence of this<br />
deponent that they had provided two hundred servants for their Accompt<br />
to be carried in the sayd shipp for Virginia and that they should bee<br />
ready upon the first arrivall of the sayd shipp at dublin in Ireland And<br />
