43 yeares or thereabouts, sworne before the right Worshippfull<br />
John Godolphin doctor of lawes one of the Judges<br />
of the high Court of the Admiraltie, saith and deposeth<br />
by vertue of his oath.
That hee this deponent is sole owner and proprietor of the good<br />
shipp the ''White Dove'' of Bristoll (Samuel Winter Master) and of her<br />
tackle apparell and furniture, and really bought three quarter parts of her of dierick<br />
Hoste of Mortlake Merchant, for the summe of three hundred and<br />
seaventie five pounds sterling, which this deponent hath paid him, and was owner<br />
of the other quarter part long before; and further that the bill of sale<br />
nowe showed unto him, was and is the true and originall bill of sale of and<br />
for the said three quarter parts, and that the contents thereof were<br />
and are true and reall and soe had and donne as therein is contained.<br />
And lastly that hee this deponent was and is a free citozen and<br />
Inhabitant of Bristoll, and a subiect of this Commonwealth ˹of England˺ to<br />
which port of Bristoll hee saith the said shipp is belonging.

John Godolphin doctor of lawes - one of the Judges of<br />
the shipp Court of the Admiraltie, saith and deposeth<br />
by vertue of his oath.
That hee this deponent is sole owner and proprietr of the<br />
good shipp the ''Tyger'' of Bristoll (Claes ffrancke Master<br />
one of her tackle, apparell and furniture, and that hee about tenn<br />
monethes since bought the same of Michaell Copey of Amsterdam<br />
Marchant for the summe of foure thousand and two hundred gilders<br />
hollands money, which hee this deponent hath really paid and<br />
satisfied unto the said Copey. And that the bill of sale of nowe showed<br />
unto him was and is the true and originall bill of sale of and for<br />
the said vessell, tackle, apparell and furniture, and that the contents<br />
thereof were and are true, and such and donne as therein is<br />
contained. And lastly that hee this deponent was and is a free cizizen<br />
and Inhabitant of Bristoll and a subiect of this Common Wealth<br />
of England, to which port of Bristoll hee saith the said shipp was<br />
and is Belonging./
