order to signifie unto the said Benjamin Newland that<br />
hee should keepe the said eight peeses of brasse ordnanse for his<br />
reimbursement and satisfaction of and for such charges and<br />
summes of moneys as hee had bin at and laid out about the<br />

And further that hee hath heard and verily beleeveth that the said<br />
Beniamin had disbursed moneys and bin at charges about the said<br />
shipp, Captaine, company and souldiers to a greate summe or valew.<br />
And saith that to his best remembranse an account<br />
of disbursements and payments was about the yeare 1642 given by the said Beniamin<br />
Newland to the said Embassadour, but the summe thereof hee<br />
doth not remember. And otherwise hee deposeth not.

of Wight at the time of the said shipps comming thither, nor<br />
indeede was hee ever there, and otherwise hee cannot answer<br />

To the second third and fourth hee saith hee never sawe the said shipp<br />
nor ordinance, and therefore and for that the businesse happened soe<br />
longe sinse as aforesaid, hee cannot depose further or otherwise than<br />
as afore, referring himselfe to his foregoeing deposition.
