36 yeeres or thereabouts, sworne and exámined.
To the first article hee saith and deposeth that hee hath knowne<br />
the said shipp the ''Hope'' about a yeere and halfe and that about<br />
a yeere and halfe since, this deponent being at dunkirke [?sawe GUTTER]<br />
her there, and sawe a ffrenchman or Breton there setting out<br />
for a voyage for Norway, and about eight monethes since, hee this<br />
deponent sawe her lying before fflushing, and then it was<br />
commonly said there shee was retourned from Norway, and was<br />
for dunquirke, and that afterwards (as this deponent heard) shee<br />
went and dischardged at dunkerke; And saith that the time<br />
aforesaid that this deponent soe sawe her at dunkerke, it was<br />
commonly said that shee had bin brought up thither as prize<br />
and was there adjudged prize. And saith that hee being lately [?att GUTTER]<br />
Middlebrowe heard it there spoken by many that the said<br />
