goods were plunderd out of the caske, and upon that ground<br />
doe deny payment of freight unto the Owners, unlesse<br />
consideration is first had of the losse of their said goods<br />

To the last he saith his former deposition is true.
To the Interrogatoryes./ [CENTRE HEADING]
To the first Interrogatory he answereth that he was Masters<br />
mate of the interrate shipp in her homeward bound voyage<br />
and that he commeth to testify being compelled by [XXXX] And to the rest<br />
he answereth negatively./
To the 2d Interrogatory he answereth that he was not on board the<br />
shipp interrate above the space of two monthes and soe he<br />
cannot depose answeare to the contents of this Interrogatory.
To the 3d. 4th and fifth Interrogatoryes he knoweth not to<br />
answeare./
To the sixth Interrogatory he answereth that the shipp interrate<br />
had good rigging and good cables, and that some of the merchants<br />
have allowed some primmage and average, to a<br />
small value And further he cannot answeare./

Magdalen Bermondsey Roapemaker aged thirty eight<br />
yeares or thereabouts a wittnes sworne and examined<br />
saith and deposeth as followeth videlicet
To the first and second articles of the sayd libell hee and the<br />
schedule or bill of sale in the second article mentioned hee<br />
saith that in the moneth of October 1652 and on or about the twelfth<br />
day of the same the arlate William Syndersby was commonly<br />
accompted and reputed the true and lawfull Owner and Proprietor<br />
of the Vessell articulate called the ''Jane'' And as lawfull Owner<br />
of her did signe and seale and deliver as his Act and deed the schedule<br />
in the sayd second article mentioned being a bill of sale of the sayd<br />
vessell by the name of the ''Jane'' of London upon the sayd twelveth<br />
day of October 1652 in presence of this deponent and one<br />
Thomas Ashworth a Scrivener who made the sayd bill of sale and<br />
is since dead and the sayd schedule or bill of sale being read unto<br />
him at the tyme of his examination hee saith that the contents<br />
thereof are true and were so had and done as in the same is conteyned<br />
and that the sayd schedule is the same bill of sale of the sayd<br />
shipp then called the ''Jane'' of London which hee soe sawe the sayd<br />
